He is a dedicated executive & professional in Railways, particularly in the Materials Management section. He is keen on the interest of his customers in his mind, and is ready to take progressive steps to help them get the right inputs at lowest costs. He strives to improve the processes well beyond the routine and written rules. He is a great proponent of IT in the professional and personal aspect of life.
He is a BE in Mechanical Engineering and IRSS officer of 1986 Batch. He is good at playing all sports, chess and likes to read self-help books.
What do you think that students should focus on, to go ahead in their future?
1. I think everyone should know about their strength and weakness. 2.They must know the available opportunities in the market. 3. Assist the potential of themselves. They should follow discipline, training, courage and face the situation in life, once you combine all three things together then NO ONE CAN STOP YOU FROM SUCCESS.
What do you think about the present scenario of changes in the IT sector & the available opportunity for the new generation?
I feel everybody should develop their expertise in IT rather than keeping shallow knowledge about the field, otherwise you will be out of the competition and market too!
Sir, as you are working in railways at a very high level so what is your approach to improve Indian Railway system?
In this respect I feel we have the best benchmark available in the corporate sector which we are following to make Indian railway on the top, we are making Indian railway very safe, economical, comfortable. We need to utilize common sense and should never lose focus on our objective.
What would be the guidelines for the candidates in their life to get success?
Involve all stakeholder while taking decisions in respective fields and take decisions which you like or which you think can do. BE POSITIVE IN LIFE! As I always say, focus and objective should be very clear to achieve all the above benchmark. 1. Go with Your Gut. 2. Learn from Your Past Decisions. 3. Tell Others About Your Decisions. 4. Maintain a Flexible Approach.
